I felt Cruel Beauty among other B&B retellings I've read this year and last have done a far superior job at moving me emotionally. The writing is nothing outstanding, there was nothing that moved me. This was one of the most uncompelling versions of Beauty and the Beast that I have ever read.

DNF at 30% because I just got fed up with things moving at a snail's pace and NOT MAKING SENSE AT ALL.
